DVD player that will play off a networked DVD rom drive?

Howdy all. Basically I am looking for a DVD player that will allow me to play a DVD movie from my dad's computer, which is on a small home LAN I have set up. The only ones I can find will only let you play a DVD if the computer it is being run on has a DVD drive. I know the quality wil lprobably be horrid straming over the LAN connection, but I would like to give it a shot anyway.

Works like a treat if:

a) the network is 100mbps
b) the DVD it unencrypted (or DeCSS used to copy the DVD to the HDD)
