ooh, how are you cooling it ?
Also, what temps are you having, during normal gaming, usage ...?
I'm getting 60-70C with X3800 even on watercooling.
Thinking its due to the single voltage plane.
Hoping the 5800X will be able to drop voltages for the unused cores.
Might wait, and see if the 3D Vcache chips come out soon though, and go with that...

I have Noctua NH-U12A with dual fans on slow and get CPU 76°C, GPU 70° during gaming, high 40s during normal use. Case is Fractal Design 7 Compact with standard fans on slow settings. OS Opensuse Tumbleweed.

Windows 10. Gaming.
When I need Linux I either use the built in Ubuntu console, a proper Ubuntu on VirtualBox or login to my Raspberry Pi (running Pi-Hole).

new Thinkpad, business laptop: Suse Leap + Windows dualboot
Ryzen Workstation: Gaming Suse Tumbleweed, will install Windows for Photo editing at some point on another drive
Supermicro NAS: FreeNAS (BSD)
Supermicro ESX: ESX, mailserver Centos, Wireguard VPN server: Rocky
couple of old C2D boxes with optical drives for data recovery - keeping them around until I read through my old CD/DVD archives: Debian
