Musk & Shotwell have been talking Earth Point to Point (P2P) and other tidbits

Starship's fins & legs have been changed, but these mods shouldn't impact the schedule.

P2P to 10,000km (6,200m) could be done without a Super Heavy booster. Single stage, Mach 20. Instead of 3 sea level + 3 vacuum engines it would be 9-10 sea levels.

First full stack Starship+SH launch in 18 months, roughly Q3-Q4 2020. The first Mars cargo logistics loads during the 2024 Earth-Mars synod.

At the Boca Chica build site large verticle beams are being installed around what's assumed to be Starship Mk1's propulsion module. May be a verticle assembly structure w/crane. The below video shows 3 beams, but this morning there were 7 with more going in.

Across the yard is 1/4 of what looks like the propulsion module's common bulkhead, which separates the methane (lower) and liquid oxygen (upper) propellant tanks. It should go atop what's already been built, then they'd build the longer liquid oxygen tank above it.

Local news report from the Cocoa, Florida build site. Reports are they'll truck it horizontally to a barge dock, then float it to Cape Canaveral for test flights.

Elevated shots of Starship Mk-2 at Cocoa Florida June 22. Coming along nicely. More at the tweet.

The ogive portion is the cargo/passenger module, and the shorter cylinder is the lowermost portion of the propulsion module - which will make up most of the vehicle.

Starship height: 55+ meters, about 180 feet.

Launch mass: over 1,300 metric tons.

The Super Heavy booster will be 63+ meters.

SpaceX targets 2021 commercial Starship launch

JAKARTA, Indonesia The first commercial mission for SpaceX's Starship and Super Heavy launch system will likely take place in 2021, a company executive said June 26.

Jonathan Hofeller, SpaceXs vice president of commercial sales, said the company is in talks with prospective customers for the first commercial launch of that system roughly two years from now.

"We are in discussions with three different customers as we speak right now to be that first mission," Hofeller said at the APSAT conference here. "Those are all telecom companies."
              >
"We have future hops coming up later this year, he said. The goal is to get orbital as quickly as possible, potentially even this year, with the full stack operational by the end of next year and then customers in early 2021."
              >
"You could potentially recapture a satellite and bring it down if you wanted to," Hofeller said. "It's very similar to the [space] shuttle bay in that regard. So we have this tool, and we are challenging the industry: what would you do with it?"

Hop test of Boca Chica's StarHopper Tuesday, with backup dates the following two days.

At Cocoa, Florida Starship Mk-2 build, I spy an inverted dome between the cargo and propulsion modules. Lower dome, waiting for the thrust structure?

Its scale is...wow. Even NASA guys who've driven by are commenting about it, and how huge the full Starship + Super Heavy stack will be.

20+ meter hop at about 01:18

Can't see much because of the enormous plume from just one Raptor engine.

                                A 200m hop in about 1-2 weeks.

Now, imagine this times 37 on a fully populated Super Heavy booster, pushing from 66.72 to 84.52 million Newtons of thrust.

Super Heavy will be able fly with fewer engines for lighter payloads, but full up its going to be a friggin' monster.

NASA's CFO said if SpaceX can demonstrate a Starship lunar landing NASA will leverage it.
