At NASA Advisory Council meeting this morning, Bill Gerstenmaier (NASA Deputy Admin for Human Space Exploration) CONFIRMED that #CRS13/#Dragon is using a flight-proven booster - the CRS-11 booster from June. 1/2

He also confirmed that each CRS mission will be assessed on a flight-by-flight basis going forward to determine use of flight-proven #Falcon9 boosters. 2/2

So running out to fetch a new one not the cause of the delay

Per a statement yesterday, the launch slipped 4 days in part to allow SpaceX a couple more days to get SLC-40 ready and also to better align ISS vehicle schedules to provide a back up launch opportunity on 9 December.
