        Wow, that is amazing. I wonder how it would descend the stairs while carrying that 100lbs crate and whether it could also climb them with that weight (or at all). But if it can;t, they'll get there.

          Its posture makes it look like it's moving backward much of the time. But it does appear more maneuverable with the "knees" bent backward.

          Now put a seat and some handlebars on the thing.

            Some of the jumping movements were very animal like - maybe different mammals for different movements. Bound to have some military version though - pays the bills for the research.

              The backward knee is very ostrich-like, which explains a lot as regards speed and maneuverability. Whatever, I'd bet a future version will be faster, stronger, and potentially very scary.

              Just imagine one tooling around the countryside with a mini-gun. grenade launcher or a 50 kW fiber laser. Yeetch....
