AIUI they're working with a more humanoid team, and after the theft and the demise of many Bothans it refocusses to the escape and their pursuers. Many familiar names including Bobba Fett , who gets his own film in ~2020.

Weren't the Bothans involved with the second Death Star and not the first? I don't remember there being mention of their involvement in the first one (ANH) only from Mon Mothma making mention of them in RotJ).
