  • New Matrox drivers?

I have just taken a look at Matrox site and found there are drivers relased in Sep. 24, 2010 which are described as working in Windows 7
    Is it rebirth of Matrox?
Anybody knows what is going on?

BTW-my old videos created with Matrox G400 have been coded by its native codec-anybody knows which software decoder should be used to decode them corectly?
    Thx

I believe MJPEG codec is what you need.

PICVideo MJPEG is the best IMO.

There are also few freeware alternatives.

not sure whether this might help you, have you tried ffdshow?

Download ffdshow for free. A DirectShow and Video for Windows codec (VFW) ffdshow is an advanced DirectShow filter and Video for Windows codec (VFW) codec that supports many audio and video formats. For example: H.264, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, H.263, VP3, VP6, Theora, MJPEG, SVQ3, MP3, AC3, DTS, E-AC3, AAC, and Vorbis.

          For conversion, I would try
          Super: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
(download link is here - it is a confusing website: http://www.erightsoft.biz/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe )
          Virtualdub: http://www.virtualdub.org/

For playback, Belwarrior gives a good suggestion for a codec. Players that might support it out of the box are
          MPC-HC: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
          VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

          Best of luck,
