  • msi.dll corrupt

I believe my msi.dll file got corrupted last night due to a loose cable on my hd (win7). I have another instaaltion of win7 on another hd but it does not allow me to copy across the file regardless of the boot drive. are there any utils/boot disks that will allow me to do this

Others probably have a better idea then me, I haven't really used windows all that much in a few years (only recently started in on win 7)

possibly won't hurt, you could always try an ubuntu install/live cd.

On the microsoft site there is MSI fixer, though it is refered to as a tool for fixing office

Give that a try as a quik fix, if it does not work try the other suggestions
