  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - There likely to be spoilers here.

Love the level of humor but Devastator having shall we say an approximation of a gentleman's equipment was a sour point.

Mudflaps and Skids rule. RCs triple body was weird. It was never explained if she was spread out amongst three bodies. I do not recall seeing them combine.

The Transformers themselves actually interacted including cowardly Starscream.

Optimus getting the beat down but it took that many Decpticons including Megatron to do it.

Plenty of heroic moments. Some character devlopement. So many varieties including the Pretender. Soundwave/Ravage and those orbs that combined.

Makes one wonder what they have left?

    Transformers 2 - impressions

Had one of our whole-family outings today, this one going to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen matinee then having a cookout in the woods behind the house - kids, grandkids and even a few friends.

Food: BBQ heaven - turkey breast, 'burgers and brats; home made baked beans etc. etc. etc.

Movie: FUNNY!! and even more action than the first.

The action is, for the most part, more "viewable" in that you can tell one 'bot from another when they're fighting and in the last half almost non-stop, and there's some serious ass-kicking done on all sides.

Funny because of some hilarious quips from 'bot and human, visual humor and several scene-stealers involving Sam's mother played by Julie White. At some points she flat out steals the show and has the audience LOL'ing.

Then there is this gal at Sam's college who has her own agenda

The story is pretty good and moves right along. Good enough.

Favorite non-robot scene: Megan Fox laying prone on a motorcycle in very short denim hot pants, viewed from the rear. As Jack Nicholson's Joker said: enough to put a spring in a mans stride

    Any questions?

    Worth a look? HELL YEAH.

Wheelie was originally an Autobot. Well, technically a neutral that joined the Autobots in the original animated movie. Strange how they moved charaters around.

There were a couple of F-bombs, but I've heard worse in an elementary school, not to mention in the neighborhood. Can't shield them forever.

                ********SPOILER ALERT********

                scroll......

The most overt "sexualized" content, other than the pic above, was a dog humping another dog (male-male dominance thing) and one small Decepticon, who later defected, humping Megan Fox's leg. Any kid with eyes has seen dogs humping another dog or a human leg, and any male age 6 up would give his right arm to do that to Megan Fox.

Human to human it was a Decepticon disguised as a woman laying on top of SlB in his dorm room. No biggie - I've seen worse, other than her tail coming out from her skirt, on Degrassi and more network shows & commercials than I can stop the kids from seeing.

Of course there is also that our kids/grandkids are fully educated in the facts of life by the time they're 4-5 years old and we don't feel, as a family, that it's so bad they see people in the romantic mode. They've seen their parents kissing & cuddling and they've not had nudity being "bad" drummed into their little pumpkins either.

Not to say that people run around nude, but if one walks into the bed/bath room and catches someone that way there is no 'rush to cover', it's treated casually and a robe or towel is put on in a way that doesn't indicate anything's "wrong". If questions are asked, they're answered in adult language....we've never used baby-talk or the like....and in scientific terms.
