Not surprising. While I wasn't aware that Chilean Sea Bass is that threatened, an "eco-champion" such as Gore should know.

I say its a setup. I mean could this scene have taken place?

Gore - I want fish served at the Party !!!!!!
      Caterer - Which kind?
Gore - The rarer the better! if that thing doesn't make me look like an Idiot its not good enough.
Caterer - Define Idiot please, worst then what you looked like after Tipper's Porn Rock fiasco?
Gore - Yeah !! Marinade a Blue whale in a baby fox's blood for all I care.
      Caterer - Ehhhh ... sir ... a whale is not a fish.
      Gore - Doesn't matter, they don't vote.
Caterer - I'll get something together sir.
Gore - cool, can I give you ride somewhere?
      Caterer - ???????
Gore - There's plenty of space in my Hammer, hop in.
      Caterer - its OK sir.
Gore - I got you, car pooling is for suckers.
      Caterer - rrrrrrriiiiightttttt.
      Gore - Peace! we out.

The Gores, she says, took great steps to make sure that Sarah Gore had a "Green wedding."

"Unfortunately," she added, "the Chilean Sea Bass turned up at the rehearsal dinner where the Gores were just guests," the dinner having been hosted by the groom's family.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say here.

Agreed! Lately, FatBastard has been filling in for you as resident cynic. But we all know there's only one true crabby smurf among us.

I thought Gurm was the resident cynic...

Anyways, I think he is trying to say that the fact that someone doesn't follow his/hers own "teachings" it doesn't necessarily mean that they were (the teachings) wrong in the first place.

and let's not forget that the media is not comprised of heavenly protectors of everything just and fair
