  • Got a TRV730, thanks to Sears.com price match.

Ordered my Sony TRV730 "Megapixel" Digital8 camcorder today. Actually this is my second one. I paid full price while my local Sears "thought about" doing the price match even though I thought it was clear cut. Anyways, I am taking the new one back to the local store as an unopened item when I get it from UPS.

The one from Sears.com cost me $677.92 with the price match. Not a bad price, considering Sear's real price is $999.99, plus 7.5% tax, and shipping. As an FYI, Sears is literally a week or two away from closing all the price match loopholes that are letting customers find the lowest internet price, then getting it from Sears and having the reputation Sears carries. If you really want to do this, call the 1-800-MY-SEARS number, because they don't have a store's total sales and adjustments being held against them like local stores' managers.

Going to have to update my sig when I get a firewire card!
