Hmm, is this a move to counter Domm III? M'eh, doesn't really matter, so long as the game stays cool.

      Poop on em all.
I'm just waitin for HalfLife 2, hopefully followed closely by TF2.
HL was by far the best shooter I ever played.
The rest mean nothing to me.
      Q3 was a major disappoinment.
UT2k3 was less of a disappoinment, but still not a real grabber.
Doom3...couldn't care less. Carmack is just a money grubing twat, trying to cash in on past sucsesses time and time again.

If you like waiting, what about Duke Nukem Forever? Appropriate name they came up with there, eh?

Hey Kruzin, I feel the same way about Blizzard that you do about Carmack. But at least Carmack can code 3D decently

I kinda feel the same as you, leech. Bliz were the absolute kings of gaming with Diablo and StarCraft. Diablo II was a dud, Warcraft III was OK, but not as good as SC. Maybe WoW will be good.

                      Hey Kruzin, you misspelled "Matrox"

I don't think I'll be interested in Doom3 the game, but he sure does come out with some amazing graphics engines. I hope someone puts it to good use.

The problem with WarCraft 3 (and I'm not saying it's a bad game) is that they could have done it without ANY 3D whatsoever. All the 3D does is make it so slower/older computers can't run it very well. It would have affected the gameplay very little if they had stayed with a 2D game. What good is it to zoom in on a RTS anyhow? I could understand if you could zoom way out, but it's just pointless. It would have been better if they had at least let you rotate the screen around. It's about as useful as the zoom on Empire Earth as well. Really not much point to it. Now if the zoom was more powerful like in Black and White, then I could understand the point of having it better.

I agree with Wombat though about Doom 3. It's more the games that'll be made using the engine that will be interesting. Look at how crappy Quake 3 was, but then games like Medal of Honor and Return to Castle Wolfenstein kicked butt.

And Carmack likes linux, so he keeps me happy. So long as keeps releasesing linux version I will put upwith his idiosyncracies

oh, and I like the sound of ut2004, Vehicles and more interactive components in the "games grid"

UT2004 I'm not so thrilled about, is it really worth another $50 over UT2003?

Doom3 i kinda want to play. But I guess that Carmack is just going to rehash all of his old games over and over, and then once more.

Oh but I really, really want to play JK3!
