    Cool New close-ups game

The idea is to post close up photos, or maybe photos from strange angles, and the first person to guess what it is gets to go next.

Here's an easy one to start:

The pollen thingy's from a flower!!! (my vocabulary kinda sucks)
Is your computer on right now? If so, then are you using the CPU to it's full capacity? If not the install boinc, and join the matrox users Rosetta@home team and help to find a cure for the incurables, plus it's good clean free fun! (and it'll help the team gain in the ranks)

OK, you've got the easy part, it's pollen on one of those thingies. Now for the harder part: what kind of flower?

    2 clues:
    - the five dark spots are a give-away
    - unlikely to find it in a garden N or S of the sub-tropical zone. The photo was taken in my garden and we are considered as +/- at the limit for this very frost-sensitive species. I think I've seen them in S Florida (~Miami) and S California (~San Diego), Thailand to Indonesia, Kenya, India (except N. India).
