  • Mortyr demo

It runs OK in the G200. Got playable framerates at 800x600 in my celery 450. G200 oc to Pll200.

Not a great game. Good, but not great. Neat visuals, but I didn´t like the gameplay. It´s just the "find key to open door" stuff. The enemies AI and movements are light-years apart from Half-Life, for instance.
Well, that´s only my opinion, and I got it from only 15 minutes of gameplay.

I took some screenshots. If you want to look at Mortyr running in a G200, here it is.

      Hi there

      Go to:
      http://www.3dfiles.com/games/mortyr.shtml
and chose the download site closer to you...

I usually pick the demos from 3dfiles, because one of their primary sites is here in Portugal. Real fast for me.

I liked the cat's meowing, the enemy AI, and the graphics.

Unfortunately, the controls need a bit of work. Strafe doesn't allow you to slide back and forth with the mouse (now that's stupid), and you can't assign the middle mouse button to anything (like backpedal).

The G200 plays it ok. 800x600 is good enough to play it on, if a bit dark. My V2's can't play it - something wrong with D3D and the Wicked3D drivers.

          Just my $0.02

Don't worry about that V2 not working!
My V2 works, but graphics sucks and framerate is suprisingly low. Yeah, this is one of the few times when my G200 is faster than my V2:-)

and you're right, Mortyr's control could be better...

the controls in the game are strange, at least on my system they are so fast I miss the enemy by miles before I can center myself back to get them in sight. If it's the game it still needs major work. I think it's not going to do too well anyway. I wqasn't all that impressed with the graphics either, seemed a bit "old" looking.
