    Help
I can't get the settings in nfs III to go up to 1024 x 768. the highest it will go is 800 x 600 x 16bit. How can I get it to go higher.
I have all the latest drivers and bios for my mill g200 8meg on a pent.II 300 with 196 pc100 ram. every other game I usually play in 1024 x 768 x 32bit. If i only use software rendering it will go upwards of 1028 x 768.
    Please someone help!
    Thanks

    Hi Frosty,
I have exactly the same problem with NFS HS. I've tried everything (seemingly). Someone suggested turning the 32bit z-buffer on/off , but that doesn't change anything.

      Hi there
      Here´s the solution:

      Make a copy of d3da.dll
      delete the file d3da.dll
      rename voodoo2a.dll to d3da.dll
make a shortcut to nfs3.exe and add -voodoo2

start the game with that shortcut, and voila, you´ve got yourself all the higher resolutions too choose.

This works fine from a clean game install, I don´t know if it works if the game is patched (I think EA released a patch for nfs3, but not sure)

As far as I can tell (and I've tried everything I can think of or find), this hack doesn't work in the patched version. If someone knows otherwise, I'd love to hear about it.
