  • Gl Quakeworld (again) +32 bit zbuffer

i had a bit more time to fiddle around with it and glquakeworld actually works in windowed mode just not in fullscreen at any res. I am finding this real wierd coz glquake works n all so if anyone can explain this phenomenon please do =)
also what exactly does enabling the 32bit z buffer do gaming/stability wise?

Seems strange, but I don't have glquakeworld anymore, so can't help you there.

32 bit z-buffer enables larger depth resolution, which can help the "flickering textures" and "now you see it now you don't" type of problems when displaying "large" areas with alot of depth to them. It usually equates to a performance hit. I leave it off for almost everything and don't really notice it (although I play in 16 bit mode for most things).
