It just start loading and freezes at a black screen.
Any thoughs?

Well, at least Unreal works fine for me (patched to 225f). D3d vertex lighting is now working with these drivers (with 4.51 if I enable vertex lighting some polygons just turn randomly black), performance is about the same (22 fps 800x600x16, all options on except -use 3dfx, - use multitexturing and - trilinear). Strangly enough http://forums.gagames.com/forums/smile.gif it even works flawless in OpenGl mode, with all option on, but it runs at about 10 fps...

It could also be a DX6.x related problem...

I wonder if this is related to whatever QuakeWorld's problem is. That locks my computer up much the same way. GlQuake runs for me, but I get some really ugly tints in textures.

Wombat: Hexen II is based in the Quake engine... so yes, that could be the problem.
