  • PD5.13 and Q3A Benchmarks

Was wondering if perhaps we could swap some benchmarks using the latest greatest drivers from M?

    My system at a glance:
    AMD K6-2 400 o'c to 450
    G200 Marv not o'c

    Benchmark result:
Only ran one right now. At 800x600 with all the settings at min I got 29.5 FPS.

    Hi Flangor!

Q3A? Is that the Quake3 Test? If it is how did you do a benchmark? Timedemo does not work in my version.... It freezes the screen and shows an fps of 4000.

Could you post your Quake 2 scores at different resolutions as well, please?
I will borrow a Q2 later today and post my benchmarks on this thread.

    Regards,

    Jake

Jake, the test does that, be patient with it, it will start after a while. When it finishes, you'll need to bring up the console to see the stats.

Could you please explain to me exactly how to do a Q3 timedemo. I tried waiting for it to begin after typing
        ----------------
        cg_drawfps 1
        timedemo 1
        demo q3test1
        ----------------

but after a few minutes of frozen display and 4000 fps on the counter it gave me a server timeout error in the console....

Please help me! I don't have Q2 to test my new PD5 setup.

        Regards,

        Jake
