  • G400 and TV out

    Hi,
Does anyone know if the G400 has the ability to run with only a TV hooked up and no monitor?
If not, does anyone know of a video card that does have TV only boot up?

    Thanks,
    Raymond

    Hi Stingray,

I'm not sure if it will run with a TV only, but it is possible to output the DOS modes to TV, thus I can see the bootup screens on the TV when using the clone mode.

I haven't tried to use the TV as the only monitor, but I'll have a look at it.

      Hi Maggi,
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, if you could find that out for me, I would be very grateful. Not even Matrox has been able to answer me on that one.
I would mostly like to be able to take my box wherever I want and hook up to any old TV or projector via RCA without having to lug around a monitor.
One more question...do you find that your processing slows down significantly when you have two displays hooked up to the box? I would be curious if the CPU or the video card runs the primary display slower when two displays are hooked up.
