  • Release date of ASUS TUSL2-C series ?

Does anybody know when the ASUS TUSL2-C ( CUSL2-C with Tualatin support) mainboard series will be available in the retail channels ?

I get an ASUS mainboard for free, so I would like to have the TUSL2-C instead the CUSL2-C.

    MK,

I'm also pretty curious about the Tualatin
setup. Most of the articles I've read on the
.13 micron CPUs state that they may not be available for a while, as Intel wants us to buy their P4 systems.
    what Tom thinks
    and what the inquirer thinks

Now really, you simply MUST believe what these two sites have to say!

I was talking about the mainboard (!), not the Tualatin itself. This CPU will be far too expensive at the beginning, therefore I don`t care about it`s release date.

ASUS already holds bios updates available for the TUSL2-C. So when will we see the real board in the retail channels ??

          MK,

I do realize that you were talking about the motherboard. My train of thought was that since the only major difference between the
TUSL2/TUSL2-C/TUSLM and the other Asus i815E/EP boards is Tualatin support, what would be the rush to get them out the door
if the CPU isn't even available?

          Only Asus knows for sure.
Maybe send Asus an email and inquire

Tom - The simple reason why I am rushing is that I can order a new ASUS mobo for free within the next 10 - 15 days.

Therefore I am looking for the TUSL-series as I would like to have the option on the Tualatin later on (although I will start with a Celeron 600 @ 900 or 950MHz).
