  • w2k and Soyo 7vba133 = no go

    Hello there,
just tried to upgrade w98se to w2k professional on a system with the following:

    Soyo 7vba 133 mobo
    celery II 633mhz
    Fujitsu 40gb hdd
    128mb pc-133
and have tried several vid cards
    that's it!

While installing, w2k starts to search for plug and pray stuff then halfways through, it jumps to a blue screen that says:
"system halted, see your hardware vender"

Does anyone know of something in particular?
    TIA, jim

    Never mind, found it!

"This behaviour occurs when the "Soundblaster Legacy option" is set to enabled. Since Win2000 and WinME do not need to have legacy support, you should heep it to disabled. "
