  • FCPGA Pentium Question

Whats the fastest 100mhz FSB FCPGA Chip thats out there? I'm currently running a Celeron 2-566@875 in sloket adapter, but I've been running into a spat of problems with it today with games crashing etc. I blew out the dust and lowered it back down to 566 ran the two games that where crashing..everything thing seems to ok and upped to 850, and everything seems fine for now, but if it acts up I think the proccessor could be to cluprate. I want to keep the current system as is as much as a possible since I plan handing the system over to my GF when I get my AMD system in the future so I want to keep any repairs as cheap as possible. I figured that I could replace the Celeron with a P3 chip if push comes to shove but I rather not go under 800Mhz if possible.

If I remember correctly and I'm sure people will confirm this or call me stupid, one or ther other.
    A PIII B 1Ghz was released - 100mhz FSB.
It cost one penny to cross, or one hundred gold pieces if you had a billygoat.
Trolls might not be quick thinkers but they don't forget in a hurry, either

Currently, 850 MHz looks to be the fastest shipping 100 MHz FSB FC-PGA. My usual shop has it for $178 USD. Check Intel for their line-up.

actually you can get a P3 1gig on a 100bus, but it's OEM, just ask the computer store guy to order you one, if you need it.
