  • System Freeze installing Marvel 200

Below is the hardware profile, running the Via chipset. All the latest upgrades complete to MB, bios, bus master ect...
All video drivers uninstalled before Matrox installation. I have owned this card for two years and have owned pre Matrox cards in the past, I have tried every way of installing.

Problem: Install the G200, boot-up, locks up when detecting card. have to hard boot computer to restart. Have tried to pre-load drivers ( no good ). Have set the card up in system devices prior to install ( no good )I have tried everything I can think of at this time. I have emailed IBM, but I know there going to tell me it's not there problem, I know it is. Just hoping someone has had the same results and may be able to help.

    Thanks

What system was it in before, ie. what did you update around it ?

I'm not sure, but maybe it is sharing its interupt ...

could you post an IRQ list please ?

Also make sure that the card is seated properly in its AGP slot.

    Cheers,
