  • MS Office 2000 SR-1a: exit back to desktop?

    Hi,
I've recently updated my MS Office 2000 Premium to SR-1 and then SR-1a since I have had some problem with my Printer and Office.
After updates (SR-1 or SR-1a), I now CAN'T start any Office application (Word, Exel,..). They either stay for a few seconds or immediately exit back to Windows's desktop after I start those programs.
This problem happens with both Windows 98, Windows 2000, any IE version.
Can someone here give me little help.
    Thanks.
    Trung.

It's some kind of anti-piracy stuff doing this.
If you have the original version contact Microsoft about it (and tell them to stop fighting against pirates as it is futile).
If you have a pirate version you need a new serial number and change it in the registry. Search the web about it.

      Thanks JLP,
I don't know if my version is original since my friend came here and installed it for me. He also made another copy (sorry MS)for me. So I think it's pirated.
Can you tell me where is in the Registry to change that thing?
      Thanks.

Ahem, public forum. Please do not discuss piarcy matters here, both for your own good and that of the forums.
