  • Fix for Vortex2+Win2k+Via chipsets

    I found this looking for a solution to one of my own problems. I hope this helps somebody here.

    Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

    Yep it looks like via have got another prob. It also happens with sblive cards. Viahardware have fix as well apperently.

      Of course someone finds a fix as soon as I dump my SQ2500 for a TB Santa Cruz!

          Naw it's a via bug. Managed to reproduce it beautifully at home. So it's maybe that that buggered my Quantum drive.

            It works! I can't believe it! Now from the computer I use at work I can send my wife an ecard (while I'm at work) from blab.com without having the sound cut out on me! Now if only I could find the right card...
