  • Rainbow Runner Studio & Windows 2000

    Hi there,

I have an old Matrox Mystique & a Rainbow Runner Studio and I am wanting to use them in Windows 2000. As Matrox don't intend to support this product with new drivers anymore I was wondering if anyone new if the 9X or NT drivers could be modified to work with Windows 2000 and if so, how is it done? Thanks.

The RRS 2.10 drivers can be made to work with WinME, but I haven't seen anyone pull it off with Win2K. All you can do is try.

If you get a message that some OS or Dx version isn't correct you can use APCompat.exe to get Win2K to "lie" to the program. It's in the :\Support folder of the Win2K CD.

Your chances are not very good.
