I run out after ~43, but that was also while I was running NS(4 browser windows open), WebWasher, ICQ, PD and Cpuidle.

The reason for this is because you ran out of system resources. Use Taskinfo2000 to find what is sucking up the rest.

      Thanks Greebe
I had the same problem & looked 4 a program that will display the use of resources.
TaskInfo2000 is just the right 1.

        Thanks Greebe,
i grabbed that program and it shows that
each internet page starts own "explorer.exe"
is that right, i mean each page takes atleast 6-11MB of memory. i thought one
explorer.exe is enough and pages are like windows ?
haven't had this problem before with +20
        windows...

        thanks

and Asus pcprobe shows that my physical memory (256MB) is in 67% with just
outlook and 1 explorer. i'm using
win98 to manage virtual memory and
there is 2.5GB of free vmemory.
          vmemory usage 3% ???

          are these OK ?

          thanks

What other background tasks do you have running... those numbers seem quite low to me (I don't use Outlook for email so can't test)

WinRAM-Booster Pro works very well for defragging/clearing out wasted mem.

BTW set your vmem to something like 128/128 meg
