  • Old Computer games.......

I got a fair amount of old Video games that are just taking up alot of space. Short of throwing them away or going crazy posting them all on Ebay any one else have any suggestions on getting rid of them? Most are from the 1994-95 time period...the days before hardware acceration.

Keep 'em. That's what I do. They help out tremendously in my Windows 2000 Game Compatibility List. Also when someone needs an old game. I have it.

echowars: not really... most of them are programmed so they run at same speed no matter what.... but in some cases yes it makes a difference

eg... take simcity 2000 (even though its not old)... if you put it on llama speed it will go at same speed whether u got a 486 or a P4.... yet when u put it in fastest mode(cant remember which one.. cheetah ?!?).... it will try to go as fast as ur CPU can handle...

Yeah, if the programmer programmed it right it'll run at the correct speed. Many games do run extremely fast tho. That's why you use programs that slow your computer down. They don't work as well as advertised tho which is why it's always handy to have an old machine around.
