  • Ez-CD Creator and Windows ME

Anyone out there having problems with EZ-Cd Creator and Windows ME? I have a friend who is trying to make up CDs and they been getting all sorts of odd errors etc. This all started to happen after they upgraded to WinME.

    Troubleshooting for Easy Creator here.

    He didn't use aspi32.exe didn't he .
By the way tell him that Easy creator is NOT a good program(crap i will say).
Try Nero(excellent-Mrs Burns style) or CloneCD(software-pirate's heaven ).

EZ-Cd creator works fine in ME. Didn't need any patch.
      I hope you're talking about ver 4.

I haven't had any problems in WinMe with EzCD Creator 4.02/4.03. I didn't upgrade but did a clean install with the upgrade CD though. What I notice though is that sometimes the display is not updated as it should be and you may think that the burn has failed but it actually is still going on.
Of the last 100 CDs burned on my machine I have made I coaster. The only problem I have with EzCD Creator is that I can't overburn without resorting to trickery. I find the interface easier to use. I haven't bought Nero but it works better on my machine than EzCD Creator in Windows 2000. Haven't tried NTI CDMaker 2000 in Windows 2000 yet, but it works ok in WinMe

I think he Tracked it down to the old Smart and Friendy Cd burner Drive he was using. he replaced it with a newer 10x burner and all is well now.
