Hi! First off all, i want to sorry for the reposting but i have some problems to decide witch dvd-rom to buy.
Now i've a Asus 50x witch i'm very happy, but it's my 4th, because all the others broke down, and i've had to RTM. Now my warranty is allmost finish, and before it's over i want to change. So ....
Witch DVDrom to Buy? I want an IDE on, and it's to exchange my cdrom.
How about Asus e612? Whats the spec? i can't find it anywere, not even in asus site. And Pioneer 16x 40x? What's the fisical diferences of the slot in and the tray one? And the HItachi 7500? The main thing i want it to read all the cdroms types ( cdr, cdrw, cdda, etc). So how about it?

    Try CD Media World.

I'd suggest also doing a search in this forum for this topic has been covered in great detail.
