      Hi Braveheart
AFAIK, The Vanta chipset is nothing but the TNT2 's scaled down version,(TNT2 M64).Maybe they removed some features of the TNT2 M64 and thus made it cheaper and renamed it.
      Cheers

Original TNT - 128-bit memory bus.
        TNT M64 - 64-bit memory bus.

16-bit color at 640x480 and 800x600 gaming won't see much difference. But once you demand more than that, 128-bit memory bus will show its advantage.

It was my understanding that "vanta" and "m64" were synonymous. It is a stripped down TNT2 with only a 64 bit bus to the memory. No bios flash can convert a vanta to a 128 bit memory bus of the regular TNT2. It may be the exact same chip on the inside as a TNT2, but with a different package that only has 64 pins to the memory chips. Regardless, the pcb only routes those 64 bits to memory.
