  • 2 Questions re: win2k

    1. Is there a built in Radius server that comes with Win2k?

    2. I already have Win2k installed, can I now install WinNT? Is there an easy way or is it all painful?

    Thanks for your help

    Dave

Sorry, should have been clearer. I mean, can I install NT so I can have a dualboot system of Win2k and NT at the same time. Win2k is already installed.

make the win2k startup and recovery disks.
            install win nt4.
just make sure to install at least SP4 after u install win NT and before u boot to win2k.
else u won't be able to boot NT again unless u reinstall.
then use the win2k recovery disk to recover the boot files on the system partition.
the system partition (where ntdetect.com, ntldr and boot.ini are) must be FAT16 or NTFS
            coz NT can't read FAT32.

EdSki, Thanks for the info. Internet Authentication Service, exactly what I was looking for.

Pace, I have dual 10GB harddrives in a RAID configuration. Do I need to have both harddrives partitioned or will the RAID setup do it for me after partitioning the first one?

arbymo, Thanks for the info. I'll make srue to follow directions

Dave: What's your hard drive config (i.e. partitions)?

                Paul.
