  • The fastest CPU in POVBench is...The PS2's Emotion Engine???

    Go to http://www.haveland.com/index.htm?povbench/index.htm .

The third system in the List all Single Results(single cpu results) is my System, Predator, and with my Athlon Thunderbird 1.1Ghz@1.32Ghz i get on Povray 18 sec......If you look the Emotion Engine gets a 5 sec that's 3+ times faster than my System!!!
I might get better results if i use instead of MS-dos(it is faster than win2000 and win98SE or winME in my system) a Linux OS(9~14 secs) but again bravo to the Playstation 2 300Mhz Emotion Engine!!!!

            greebe,

Judging from your CPU(Athlon @850Mhz) and the use of Win98 you sould get somthing between 24~26 sec
