  • Bah, Samsung buckles...

    http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200....1003.ttext.ni

Rambus now is collecting royalties from 40% of the total RAM market.

Any of our new lawyers on the forums know if the patents are eventually declared invalid, are the licensing deals still valid? Would the manufacturers be able to reclaim the paid royalties?

Anyone got a few kilo's of C4 and a detonator I can use? I've got a bone to pick with RAMBUS.

All these comapnies that are buckling are going to look really stupid if Micron and Infenion win their lawsuits.

Hardly, all the companies that are buckling are doing the smart "thing".

If micron/infineon lose, these companies didn't spend anything on attorneys, so nothing lost.

If micron/infineon win, the buckling companies didn't spend anything on attorneys, so they save money that way. Not to mention they'll get back all the royalties paid out.
