CPU usage???????

    CPU usage???????

    I got the following memory resident programs :
    kernell32.dll
    msgsrv32.exe
    mmtask.tsk
    mprexe.exe
    mstask.exe
    systray.exe
    wmiexe.exe
    pdesk.exe
    stmgr.exe
    rnaapp.exe
    tapisrv.exe
    pstores.exe

    BUT why do i get a 55% CPU usage on Win ME??????i even tried to disable system restore but i have the same indication?

        He, sorry.
        I got kind of interrupted.
        I meant, is WinME installed in ACPI mode?
        If it is you could get erratic readings as WinME is halting the CPU when idle.

        Also you won't get good readings from sysmon, as it's only measuring kernel time (I think).
        Try TaskInfo2000 it's lightyears better.

          Or you could try turning off the intelligent system monitoring stuff of WinME.

            TaskInfo2000 gives me CPU usage 1.78% but the stupid System Monitor 79%????
