Reason that is that people think AMD and Intel are lock stepping when it comes to CPUs. I wish I had some extra cash I would be investing into AMD right now with their stocks being so low. Next year should be pretty interesting for AMD if they can keep up the pace of CPU releases they do with out stepping on their dick like intel did.

Summarized into two words: "Rambus sucks". We knew that all along, and now Captain Intel says it. That quote is the DUH! heard around the world.

Rambus' intellectual property is a colossal failure. It would be ironic justice if Rambus had to declare bankrupcy because they couldn't afford to pay their lawyers.

"We made a big bet on Rambus and it did not work out," Craig Barrett, Intel chief executive admitted. "In retrospect, it was a mistake to be dependent on a third party for a technology that gates your performance."

"We hoped we were partners with a company that would concentrate on technology innovation rather than seeking to collect a toll from other companies," Mr Barrett said.

                    Ouch!

I didn't know that companies did that. It's funny when CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies put on a soap opera for us. I can't wait to see what Rambus does in the next episode of Memory Bandits.
