  • Master or slave (ide-channel)

I have bought a cd-rw and dont really know where to put it. I have my HDD on Primary master and now I dont know where to put my cd-rw (sony) and my DVD (Pioneer). Who sholud be slave and master? What do you guys (and girls) recommend? Does it matter?
Is there something important with the dma?
Is there any different between win2k and win98?
    I have a G400Max on my CUSL2.

you should put ur cdrw on *secondary master*...

if it is dma(should say on box/manual) then u must enable it from the cd-rw properties in device manager in system properties in control panel....

should work perfectly fine on any win32... winnt, win2k, win9x/winme...
