  • question on windows folder customizeing

i want to have every folder have the exact same background, but i cannot seem to be able to make a default folder that all current and new folders will use. Instead i have to right click, go customize this folder, then select change background, then select it, then change the background to black and the text to white.
is there any program/registry entry that would make this easier?
    thanks

View -> Folder Options -> View -> Folders Views like current, after setting the folder the way you want.

that only works on customizeing it with folder.htt files, it doesn't transfer the background to all the folders.

It would make it easier if you said which Windows version, Scout !!

This was only possible with the first Beta of IE4/Memphis. You could put a registry hack in that created a default folder background from a bitmap. Unfortunately, with the second Beta of IE4 and all subsequent versions of the Folder Web View this had no effect.

As far as I can remember you can change the default folder.htt and as you may or may not know it is like a HTML file so you can add a background image in the <body> tag and it should work for all folders that haven't been cutomized, those that you have customized just remove the customization. If you need more help, like where to find the file etc. let me know. One problem is I'm using Win Me, but they should be enough the same to get it working.
