  • Overclocked PII300 @345 voltages

    Hello everyone!

    I overclocked my old PII-300 to 345 @115 Mhz FSB (it did 360 but locked in NFS:PU). It seems to be stable, but I have some lockups with Netscape that I don't know if they are "normal" or due to the o/c'ed CPU. I can't measure the CPU's temperature, but I have some strange voltages:

    +12 V --> 12,5 V - 12,9 V (changes a lot)
    +5 V --> 5,0 V
    +3,3 V --> 3,5 V
    +2,5 V (VCore) --> 2,95 V <----???
    -5 V --> -5,1 V
    -12 V --> -12,3 V

    Is VCore too high? Are those voltages safe for PCI devices? Which temperature is normal (safe) for this CPU? Perhaps I can measure it tommorrow with a digital term. Mobo's temp. is 34-35 ÂșC.

    Thanks in advance!

    NeSuR.

    Read these articles,

    I have a P2 300 SL2YK overclocked to 451 (FSB 100)mhz. I had to increase the voltage to 2.18 v to get this to work stable, which it has for the last 8 months.

    It might not be exactly the same type of CPU as you have but the links above should give you some good info.
