  • ACPI in Win2k: Enable after install?

Is there any way to get ACPI enabled in Win2k after installing, without re-instlaling?

See, when I installed Win2k, not knowing a whole lot about ACPI, I had it disabled in my BIOS. Now, I have it enabled (not that it does me any good right now) and would like it enabled in Win2k, but won't be able to really do a new install until X-mas.

    thanks a lot,
    b
Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

Searxh these forums for ACPI as keyword. This has been discussed previously.

To sum it up, you have to reinstall win2k. It´s easy to switch from a ACPI instalation to a non-ACPI, but not otherwise.

Back it up, go to device manager and change "computer" from standard pc to ACPI pc. You probably won´t be able to boot, but reinstalling is always fun
