  • Horiz. and Vert. Sync cable questions.

I just got my new Samsung Syncmaster 950P, love it so far! It looks great on the standard D-SUB input, but I'd like to try out the BNC inputs to see if it looks even better. I have a nice D-SUB to BNC cable with 5 BNCs on the end. R, G, and B I can figure out where to connect, but then I am left with a black cable and a grey cable. Which one goes to the Vertical sync input, marked 'V', and which goes to the Horizontal, marked 'H/V' ?

I'm pretty surprised my 4MB ATI card will even do 1280 x 1024 in 24 bit color, but it does, looks good, too! Looks like the sync options on the card include 'composite' and sync on positive or negative.

Oh, and now with my 19", I can definitely see some screen flicker when refresh rate is set to 60 HZ. 75Hz gets rid of the problem nicely.

    Black is Vertical Sync.
