  • Finally!!!!!!!!

It ran for quite awhile at this speed but locked after a few rounds of 3DMark2000.

I have an Alpha PAL35t, 60mm 38CFM fan and some Arctic Silver thermal compound on the way.

I finally got some PC133 DIMMS and that seemed to help a bit, just need some better cooling on the processor. I'm using a Thermaltake Golden Orb right now and it isn't much better than the Intel Heatsink/fan. I had to stick a second 60mm fan on top of the thing to drop the temp 2-3 DegC from the Intel HS/Fan.

Forgot to mention that I got the Alpha for my FCPGA and the Arctic Silver thermal compound from ---
    http://www.coolerguys.com/

They are the only place that claims to have the Alpha for the P3 FCPGA in stock right now.

Congrats on reaching 1 gig Paul.

You won't be disapointed with the Arctic Silver - It took 10 DegC off my PIII 600@800.

I'm a bit suprised by your Golden Orb though, I'm using a Golden Orb and have found it performs on par with my Alpha cooler - and both are much better than the stock HS/Fan.

        Chris.

            Good job Paul...

I don't have my new heat sink yet, but I've had about the same results with both my 800 and 850.

            Currently running my 850 @ 1030 (120FSB) 1.8V, 1/4PCI, 2/3AGP (2x), CAS2...

When the new HS arrives, will shoot for 133..

I hope to have the Alpha PAL35t and the Delta 38 CFM fan by Wednesday. That with the Arctic Siver should help a bit
