It's not as easy as it may sound. My company once made a Pentium chipset. There are a bazillion gremlins to watch out for. Many of the ol' faithful chipset manufacturers have been squeezed out by the likes of Intel and VIA. For Nvidia to just show up outta nowhere with an Athlon chipset? I'll believe it when I see it. Chipsets aren't like graphics chips.

Don't forget that nvidia has probably been stealing Intel employees for the past couple of months to work on their chipsets. Maybe the i820 was sabotaged by nvidiot insiders
