press the "Any Key"

this is a really stupid question, but oh well,

in config.sys i run this sys file that when it loads, asks you to press any key twice in a row.

is there any program or dos command that does it automatically....

This may or may not work when loading a .sys file in the config.sys, but it's worth a try.

echo | Loadhigh driver.sys

Just in case you don't know what that is, it's a pipe, it's shift backslash(usually).

Hope that works. You can also try variations, like
echo | echo | LH driver.sys
or
echo y | LH driver.sys

nope, error message, i think that ECHO is only used in autoexec.bat, not config.sys, but worth a try.

Gee, if I was really ambitious (and I'm not), I'd write you a little TSR that would insert itself into the timer interrupt handler and generate keystrokes and an uninstaller to stop. Otherwise, I'd have you check the product documentation to see if there's a way to set the program in quiet mode. If not, they probably have a good reason for pausing the PC at that point (need things to quiessce).

hmmm, this post seems to have been rather pointless as I don't currently have any other suggestions, but I'll be sure to let you know if I do think of something.

Then again, are you sure it's a file in config.sys that gives you the "press a key" thing? For all I know, config.sys only loads (real-time) drivers, but autoexec.bat could have a couple of pause commands in it (which do the "press any key" trick), or there could even be a line in autoexec.bat going to another batch file that loads something that tricks the "press any key" thing.

Does any of this make sense?

jorden: i understand what you are saying, but the file is loaded in the config.sys file, and is another sys file. Yes! i know it would be much easier to fix if it was in autoexec.bat... but unfortunately its not

the file is a program that slightly enhances the performance of the K6 processor, the name of the program is K6-PRO, and since the program is unregistered, two messages come up that asks me to press any key to continue, and i want to get rid of it w/o registering, cos even though program might help me, i dont think its worth registering for.

i know many might disagree with me, but what i am doing is NOT ILLEGAL. if i were to decompile and edit the program, that would be illegal, so i dont wanna do that.

K6 Pro will not do anything for your processor using the motherboard that you are using. It is intended for motherboards that don't properly recognize the K6 processor and support write allocate and other k6 only features. So, I would just scrap the thing.
