  • IRQs being shared, is that a problem?

    Hi, I've read in a lot of your psts that you all try and make sure none of your IRQs are being shared, a fair few of mine are being shared, is that a bad thing?

    In practice IRQ sharing is only good when you don't use both devices at the same time, it just doesn't work well otherwise with 99.9% of cards [and drivers] out there.

    So, you want your sound card and video card on separate irqs.

      Werdna,
      Your video card is alone on IRQ 11 as it should be. The only sharing you show is the USB controller and the sound card (don't worry about the IRQ holders, that's normal). This should not cause a problem. If your machine is working fine otherwise, don't worry and just leave things as they are. Everything looks OK as it is.
