"Intel will support Pentium 4 with a chipset, known as the Intel 850, which among other things, supports memory modules from Rambus. The modules, known as RDRAM, promise high performance. However, their acceptance has been limited to-date by a much higher price when compared to the current memory standard, Synchronous Dynamic RAM."

    Don't you hate them ?

I am waiting for the promise of high performance to materialize. Maybe then I will stop wishing they would go away.

Don't bother with the Williamatte version of the P4. Just like with the Merced version of Itanium, the 2nd generation (McKinley for Itanium), Tulloch will be much better.

          Arghhhhh,
I can't believe your posting links to anything on the register.
If the register says it, take it with a pinch of salt.
If another site says it, then lets just say the Register was lucky with it's guess.
This site is the 'Sunday Sport' of web sites.
It cost one penny to cross, or one hundred gold pieces if you had a billygoat.
Trolls might not be quick thinkers but they don't forget in a hurry, either
