  • What's your computer configuration

Mine isn't as big as some peoples, but I get no complaints :P , so I'm not ashamed to whip it out.

    Asus P3B-F, r1.03, Bios 1.005
    P!!! 500E@733, SL3V5, SECC2, Retail
    G400 32 DH, 5.52, 1.5-22 (IRQ 10)
    RR-G, VT 1.52
    128 MB Crucial 7.5 ns, @(2,2,2)
    Adaptec 2940U, bios 2.20.0, FMS 3.03 (INT 11, PCI 2)
    IBM DNES-309170 Ultrastar 18ES 9.1GB UltraSCSI HD (2MB, 7200rpm)
    Plextor UltraPlex 40 Max
    Promise Fasttrak66, bios 1.30 build 2, D1.30 (INT 15, PCI 3)
    2+0 stripe, Western Digital WD136BA, 13.6GB HDs (2MB, 7200rpm)
    SBLive! Value, L!W 3.0 (INT 5, PCI 4)
    Kingston KNE110TX 10/100, driver 1.3 (INT 5, PCI 5)
3Com USR 56K ISA Winmodem (INT 4, COM 3), retail driver
    HP DeskJet 970Cse Printer (LPT1, INT 7)
    Sharp SE500 PDA (COM 1, INT 3)
Imation LS-120 (Primary IDE, INT 14)
    Microtek Slimscan C6 USB scanner
    Microsoft Intellimouse w/ intellieye(PS2)
    Enlight 7237 Mid w/250W PS

I force the IRQ's for the add in cards, which keeps the controllers and vid INT>9, and the SB on 5. This does muck up USB a little, but not so bad.

      What's your computer configuration

Here's a thread I would find helpful. When I'm contemplating an upgrade, I like to see what hardware others use. To this end, I think a listing of your hardware (as specific as you want to be) would be helpful.

To keep this from being soap boxed, please refrain from challenging someone's choice of hardware...

        Allright here's mine:

PIII 500@515 (it would go to 560 but the memory won't do 112)
AOpen AX6B rev 1.1 (with filter caps soldered of to get AGPx2)
Intel BX (the only decent chipset)
256Mb (three sticks 2x64 and 1x128, all different cheap brands, works just fine)
        G400 DH 32Mb, powerdesk 6.06.031 (currently clocked at 148/198)
Rainbow Runner G-Series, Video Tools 2.00.012
        DirectX 7
        SB Live value OEM

        Dynalink IS64PPH+ ISDN adapter
        iiyama Vision Master Pro510 22"
Intellimouse Explorer (too expensive but it doesn't give me RSI)
        Trust 300W speakers
        Mitsumi Floppydrive
        Quantum 5400rpm 8Gb
Maxtor 7200 30Gb (I don't like maxtor, but I got it extra cheap)
Monterey keyboard (old but sturdy like those old IBM's)
