  • CD Music and SB live Value.

    System is PentiumII 350mhz,Bx mobo,win98.
This is the same system that a MontegoII sound card was installed on(DOA).
Since upgraded to SB Live Value.
Works great, except audio cd's wont auto start, and the little SB player says it can't access cd rom(perhaps being used by another program)CD's will play if you start them manually.
As there was no uninstaller with the MontegoII,I did my best searching and deleting all references to them, however I may have missed something.
    Any suggestions!

First go to the Device Manager and check if Auto Insert Notification is enabled. Your CD's won't autostart unless it is enabled.

You then need to check and see if Creative Player is setup as the default player for audio CD's. Also make sure you have LiveWare 3, which has the newest version of Creative Player in it.

    Hope that helps.
