CPU Cooling Questions

I've got a few cooling related questions:

1. Do you know if a high end socket Fan/heatsink (ie. Alpha, Global Win, etc.) will work with both a socket 7 processor and the soon to be released Socket A processors?

2. What would be the best heatsink/fan and where do you recommend to get it?

I need a new heatsink/fan and thought I might be able to kill two birds with one stone. Thanks for your time.
