help needed for less error on install....

im building a new system with hardwares as follows:
PIII 667Mhz
G400 Max 32 MB
SBLIVE
Asus P3V4x
AMD ethernet card
Quantum ATA 66 fireball 13.6
128 MB 133Mhz
im sorry if my question has been posted here before but wasnt able to get it...
wht should i do first? which driver shud i install first? and wht are the recommendations in the bios setup and hardware configurations? i have read some problems with VIA and G400... how true is this? and how can i avoid such problem...
